About

UnaiHeadshotI am a full time data analyst in the Indiana University School of Medicine Division of Children’s Health Services Research as well a Ph.D. student in Geography at the Indiana University College of School of Arts & Sciences.

My research interests focus on identifying, measuring, and understanding the social and geographic inequities in the Indiana food & housing landscapes as well as the impacts these inequities have on the health outcomes of Indiana residents.  I have a background in social and environmental mixed methods research and have used my skills to further data-drive community-based scholarship. I have developed dozens of spatial indicators and metrics related to health outcomes, access to services (food, transportation, green spaces, etc.), and social disparities, to help community partners understanding the spatial inequities in these systems from a multi-geographical and multi-population perspective.
